This taken four months ago when I bought it.

Nice looking motor :) - the wheels don't appear to be std MV6 ones, have you changed them?
-
...think they are standard but perhaps re lacquered silver from the sort of original black?
maybe ?
And whatever is behind in the picture looks "intresting" any one hazzard a guess?
-
Or more likely, got damaged (they're soft as dogturd), and were replaced as a set?
-
The rest of the pics now I know how the photobucket thing works! ;)

Don't know bout wheels but as one has a chip on can definately say they weren't black at anytime!!
-
I post piccies of mine up so you can see the anthracite ones....
-
Nice looking car - brings back horrific memories though (being upside down)
-
Lol, I like to drive mine the right way up!
-
looks very nice, I do like the MV6 seats :)
-
it looks very much like a focus rs !!! 8-)
-
So the wheels thing....intrigued now!
Are they standard or not? any gurus know the answer? Must admit I always thought they were, definately irmscher wheels but looking at the anthracite ones I can see the difference.
-
The anthracite ones are the factory fit. Prefacelift MV6 wheels are incredibly soft, and incredibly expensive. Its possibly that a previous owner knackered them, and replaced the whole set. Also likely, as the tend to corrode a little, is previous owner had them refurbished...

Cheers theboy! You know how much refurbs are 4 alloys? just that my front n/s has a large chip out of it that needs sorting - was looking at alloy repair kits in halfords but suspect they would be crap??
Thanks

They are diamond cut so need to be done by a specialist, i had 5 done for £250 including re-mounting the tyre and balance
-
they are the mv6 wheels on this car just painted silver !!! anybody who has them will tell you they soon look shoddy !! i have them on mine in the two tone and are starting to look pants !! might get them refurbed might just paint them :o :o
-
Irmscher sell then in the 2 tone anthracite and as plain silver...
-
Ok,sorted then. The wheels are plain silver alloy - havent been painted so guess they have been replaced as suggested! Not sure about a full refurb at that sort of money - only one wheel has a chip out of it . Think will give the repair kit ago unless anyone has any horror stories???
-
They may have already been refurbed, which due to sandblasting etc, takes off hte anthracite anyway. Alloy refurb usually around £50 per wheel...
-
Yup, there pretty soft alloys, decided against spending £160 to get mine refurbshed
Sold them instead for £210 on ebay.
Added the £210 from sale to the £160 i saved not refurbishing them and spent ONLY £300 on brand new 17" mv6 facelift alloys.
It actually made me money - although there is something about those two tones thats amazing :)
