central locking question
« on: 15 February 2021, 20:51:54 »

rigged up the central locking today , it unlocks on key switch but will not lock. If I do it manually the passenger solenoid works to lock and unlock with drivers. Will it be the disconnected alarm causing it to not lock or the lack of rear solenoids?
Any ideas . BTW the window motors work!!

the car won't lock if any door is open IIRC
so maybe the rear door switch wires need a ground to simulate being locked  :-\

just been to check mine. it will still lock if a door is open but it is a late 2003 model so may be different to yours in its operation
also the door switches need to be left open/ unconnected. they short to earth when the door is open
