Although you might find that the caliper pistons are electronically wound in and you'll need JagTech (or whatever their system is called) for that. 

This isnt VAG tat, you can achieve it on most JLR products with a few switch presses

You could use the two audio sensors that you have on each side of your head, and when you hear the grinding noise it's time for new pads. 

It's only a £30k car after all!

They spun the rear wheels across the carpark, through the workshop and onto the ramp.

The manager had nothing to say when I laid into him in front of the full waiting area.

Suffice to say he very carefully backed it out a couple of minutes later. Kuntz.

I don't understand how they think that's a good idea

If something happens then they're not insured, the car's not insured and throw a dose of TWOC into it and there's the whole unemployment situation and dealer reputation damage... Not to mention fixing/replacing the car and all the hassle that goes with that.
