Hi guys,

I have a question about a tomtom one and a vauxhall vivaro van,   Can you cut the end of the tomtom charger off and hardwire it into the van or has the charger got a voltage stepper built into the end????

Any help would be great cos i dont want to blow my gps up  :y

Hello I have a Medion 350 and the voltage to the unit is only 5v not sure about tom tom do you have a test meter to check the output of the charger  ? or even easier the charger should have a label on it which will tell you the output voltage. I have taken my charger apart and wired it direct to come on when radio is on ie ignition controlled . only thing is if you want to use unit in another car you wont be able to use the charger as it will be hard wired so you will need a spare charger just in case
