Problem with low rpm
« on: 03 December 2022, 21:53:20 »

I have a opel omega 2000cc eith x20xev , 1998 model .
when the engine is at low rpm the rpm goes up and down until to turn off.
then, it doesn't start, only if I put full throttle .
I think so is not problem with the vacuum.

You need to clean the idle control valve and throttle body along with the breathers. There is a guide for the 2.2. 2.. Is basically the same.

with a little luck, I succeeded and found the fault, after 10 days of searching.
I mention it to help a friend in the future.
I think it is a difficult damage.
the fuel pressure regulator was at fault!!!
gasoline was poured into the vacuum, with the result that the engine has these symptoms, which refer to another damage.
