It seems now that they're re-naming the Indian variant[after India complained that the name reflected badly on the country]and now calling it the Delta variant.Whatever they happen to call each variant it is clear that sooner or later we're going to have to live with itand hope deaths can be held to an "acceptable" level, just a mattter of working out how many is acceptable.
Over 100,000 more people were born in 2019 than died in 2019.

I would statistically suggest that that covers any variations in 2020, and is therefore more than acceptable.

As it goes to date, 127,750(or so) have died in the UK from TCV... I would wager that there will be significantly more births.
