help newbe  with autobox fault

hello i would like some help for so one i got this car very cheap but i drive it for cold the autobox  look it keep on coming out of gear at 1 and 2 nd gear all the rest of the gear fine do you think it did a oil change
on auto box or a new gear box it a 1997 3l v6 elite  thanks for your time  :-/

Welcome to the fourm.

I'm not sure I understand your problem entirely. Is it staying in first gear for longer when it's cold, and not changing?

It does this to heat up the catalytic converters quickly and reduce emissions.

the  autogearbox  come out and go back in   went i go  roundabout as well  someone said i need some more oil for autobox  but it dont know where to look for that or how much oil to put in
