OOF Certificate Expiration
« on: 15 May 2021, 11:32:52 »

To provide secure HTTPS encryption, OOF uses Lets Encrypt certificates.

Let’s Encrypt’s older root cert is due to expire in September.

For most of us, nothing changes, and we won’t notice. But those attached to their old shitty devices or outdated browsers will likely get certificate errors and website insecure warnings

after XP and before windows 7
Microsofts  O/S with enforced coffee breaks (screen would turn blue ,AKA "blue screen of death" about every 30 minutes )
I think Bill had invested in coffee plantations and wanted to push the product  :-\

so if you didn't buy Vista you owe Bill $100 , no wonder he's poor  :D

Vista was actually a great OS, let down by slow boot times, especially on spinning disks.  It was a bit stricter on shitty drivers...   ...which is a good thing.  Sadly, end users were stupid enough to disable all that protection, rather than shout at vendors for producing shit. So it got a reputation of blue screening, unfairly, as invariably it was either shitty drivers or faulty RAM*

The computer press hated it, but thats because computer journos are even more lazy than most British media, and can't handle change.

*REALLY really common in home computers that are home built or have been to "computer shops", because oppswits don't understand ESD.

Pfft, I'd take any Windows OS over this pile of rubbish that is Apple iOS. I've finally managed to get rid of the last task I needed a Mac for, now it can be replaced with a Windows box, that will just work.

I see more spinning rainbows than a 3.2/2.6 owner gets to see the emissions light and that's saying something.

My mac was locking up 6 - 10 times a day, so spinning rainbows that would never go.

Fortunately a rebuild appears to have cured it, but the hardware is still crap.

Talking about OOF and Electron Trickery, I had to set my 5G LTE Router for IPV4 Only sometime back in order to access OOF, think it was an EE Gateway issue, honestly can't remember, but question is, is The Forum still IPV4 these days.
