Sky Q & Netflix
« on: 26 November 2021, 20:23:49 »

SKY customers can now get Netflix for free. ... The deal also includes Sky Entertainment and Netflix Standard (HD). To make life even more easier, you won't have to worry about creating new accounts for the separate app. You can simply add your existing profiles to your new Sky Q subscription. (Copied from Google)

Also saw it's free for the 1st 2 months

Is it free or not :-\

So much conflickting info

I will carry on paying for Netflix and not Sky if that's OK with you  :)

My Sky subscription keeps increasing in price. I have fibre broadband and all phone calld included, for over £100 per month. Is there an alternative? It must  include all calls, as SWMBO loves her phone calls!

I've only paid £5.00 a month for Sky for the last 2 years, got a brilliant deal when I told them I wanted to cease my subscription.

I had to realign my aerial to a sub-transmitter a while back as my Freeview signal was terrible and became unwatchable probably due to a massive tree in the neighbours garden, but now I only have about 16 channels which I'm starting to get bored with.   ::)

Freesat seems like a decent alternative, no subscription, loads of channels and I'll only have to stump up for the box and having a dish installed.  :-\

SKY charge £56 for 63Mbps unlimited  broadband with  free anytime calls and landline
I just swapped to NOW TV broadband for the same 63Mbps unlimited  broadband with  free anytime calls and landline for £28 per month and get sky movies via a now tv box or computer (not on SKY box) 12 month contract

Just phone and broadband is £22 per month

I kept the basic SKY entertainment package for £39

SKY own NOW TV , send a SKY router 2 (branded NOW TV )
also SKY insist on an 18 month contract for deals but NOW TV only 12 months

so NOW TV broadband £336 with movies for 12 months
now TV broadband no movies £264  for 12 months
SKY broadband £672   for 12 months

We had a similar issue. Neighbour is a telly box installer. Apparently the older aerials cannot receive the latest generation signals very well... Slightly different bandwidths?

It took a new aerial and booster (the old ones were basically 20 years old and the booster was scorched). To fix it. £180 all in and no reception issues since :)

Get Netflix for free, but very rarely remember to have a look whats available.
The only SKY channel Im bothered about is F1 and get that for free too, via NOWTV.
Just need to convince swmbo we can bin the BBC tax now and all viewing would be free.

The interwebb bit is a grey area, but if you have the means to receive any UK channel at home, via aerials, sats or cable, you have to pay for knobenders and strictly cum masterbating.
