Each year at the end of January we take a family break at one or other of the Center Parcs venues, and this year's visit was spoiled by SWMBO losing a make-up bag full of some of her best and most cherished jewellery. She thought it must have been left in the villa when we left, (to be honest very unlikely as she's very meticulous when packing etc.) but the helpful CP staff found no trace a couple of days later.
Imagine her delight, and my derisory comments, when yesterday she was sorting out some little-used swimming bags and pulled the whole caboodle out of a well disquised side pocket. She deserves that sort of luck, so I'm very happy for her.
A good job we hadn't claimed on an insurance policy, I suppose, (Waits for howls of derision.
) or made silly accusations against Center Parcs staff.
Should she return the pieces the family bought her to console her at the time, I ask myself?
