Another big thanks to Lazydocker
« on: 09 April 2013, 16:03:54 »

Some may remember that he helped converted my 2.2 to LPG in 2010, the process has been used as guides here.

For various reasons I had to have the LPG certified, so today it went in. 3 years and 30k later I've done nothing to it apart from tighen 1 feed pipe that worked its way loose, today it passed its inspection! Couple of very minor things to sort, secure back feed pipe as it was rubbing against brake pipe and put the tank straps on the right way around  ::)

Other than that all good!

Great place, thanks for recommendation TheFatShadow  :y

There was a Bently being converted whilest I was there, a 6.0 W12 at a cost of £3k  :o

It was white, I thought i was paint but it was a dark green car that had a very impressive wrap.

I'm pretty much out of action at the moment... Got a big charity night of comedy and music I'm helping arrange in Islington on the 27th (for the lad I posted up about a few weeks back who needs radiation therapy in the US) which is taking up a massive amount of time! Then got (finally) my follow up appointment at the hospital a week later to get an idea of when I'm going in again d=for surgery.

And in between all that I'm about to take on another guy for the business so sorting things for that too!

Can't see me being available again much before October/November time TBH :-\

That guy is realistic, and not an arsehole just because he didn't get the fitting job. IMHO anyway.

Glad it passed without any real issue, though guess it will be months before you sort it :P

Lets aim to do the Elite during the longer days, so May/June/July, maybe over a couple of weekends :y.  There are some things I'm too much of a scaredy cat to do though...  ...pretty much anything with a drill.

Start getting the bits together now.

Yes sounds good, your right about it being done sooner rather than later. It will then finally get some use!

So Stag 300 plus, Gold KME reducer, but are Valtek injectors a no-no for a big V6?  :-\

This kit has "dream" ones, rings a bell with JamesV6CDX, that he had them  :-\

Kit here for £340:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/STAG-300-6-ISA2-350-HP-FRONT-KIT-LPG-AUTOGAS-SEQUENTIAL-6-CYLINDERS-CONVERSION-/190808411555?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2c6d114da3

About the right price? Yes its going to be missing all little bits needed but Telio is out of the picture I here. So guess a little trip to Tinley would be in order  :-\

Well, the Stag 300 plus (aka ISA2), KME Gold and Stag injectors is a known entity...

That price seems high, as by the time all the tank, valves, fillers, pipework etc is going to bump up a bit? Not really sure on prices, as both mine were complete kits.

Its one of the cheaper ones listed, searching for stag 300 plus, out all of them them this is the cheapest with a "shark" reducer:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/STAG-300-6-AUTOGAS-SEQUENTIAL-INJECTION-LPG-6-CYLINDER-KIT-W-VALTEK-INJECTORS-/290803454725?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item43b53c9305

Only a tad cheaper at £330  :(

Think Sassanach said 100L will go in?

http://www.autogas-lpg.co.uk/-cylindrical-tanks/241-360mm-100liters-ZBC360100.html

Its a 360, but have a feeling that one is too wide?  :-\

They sell KME Gold, ask them for a "kit" price, also see if they can quote with Stag injectors.

Good call, i'll make enquires tomorrow.

What is your tank size? 360/80L?  I'd like that width but in a 90L or even maybe 100  :)
