To be honest seems a load of expensive, pretentious rubbish to me.  ::)

Grazing? FFS, cows and sheep do that, we have snacks and nibbles ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Seems a bit too 'Hyacinth Bucket' for me, so I'm with Cleggy on this one. :y

('tho they do look quite palatable...just a little too much on the twee side.)

I do agree, but I thought as it was free and no obligation it was worth a go.

Cheers TG, but will hold out for a key if possible rather than separate fob and key.

If not will give you a shout.

Cant understand why you would have to give your credit card details when its free , i was going to apply for a grazing box but wont put my credit card details in . Guess there are a lot that wont  :(

Agreed, but how else could they track where they are sending them, would be great if you didn't have to as you could no doubt keep ordering them. I doubt there are many free trials of any sort where you don't need to register to qualify.
This offer lets you select to have a box every 2 weeks, so as long as you cancel within a week of registering you wont get billed for anything. If you like them and keep going, you get 2 more free later on.

If in any doubt on the home page on the bottom right there is a " have special code" box, enter code  ALANB6TMP and you can see the offer and terms BEFORE you enter any card details.

Hi all,

As always, check for codes first. It does sound like a crank sensor as they fail when they get hot then work fine when they have cooled, hence the cutting out and restarting after a bit.
If it is the crank sensor make sure you route the new wire away from the exhaust.
Be worth adding the car details to your details.

Not tried it, I use a WD play box as it has WiFi, Netflix, iPlayer etc and can have a hard drive plugged in to view you home movies. Isn't too expensive but does require its own power supply unlike chromecast.

If using the cheap, illegal nasty clone version available from online auction sites, just be aware that it has a nasty habit of destroying alarm ECUs...  ...you may also struggle with immobilisers and transponders.

If using decent kit, should be straightforward :)

Key or software? Diagnostic was from Amazon and is PC based and worked fine on the couple of keys and airbag modules I have programmed.
Would a second hand key like in the link be worthwhile or would new be best, was thinking new would be to much to justify.

I admit, if anyone wants one, I get money off my next order. But I have a code that give you a no obligation free box from graze, if you chose to order more the 5th and 10th are free too.
You do need to use a card to register but you can cancel at any time so you get your first box free and don't get billed.
I won't post the code and if this breaks any rule I am sorry but if any one wants one let me know and I will send the details.

Cheers TB,

So either a new key and fob same as the one I have or one like this

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-Opel-2-button-remote-key-fob-megamos-M-AM-433-92MHz-70505002009-TESTED-/251285011536?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Safety_Security&hash=item3a81c0fc50

Depends what is cheapest but in good condition but I like the idea of getting rid of the extra fob of possible.
I know Kevin is local but I have software to cover all cars/systems, just need to find the car pass :-\

Here is a picture of the inside of the fob, but I get the feeling the cheap option isn't going to work and I will end up having to buy a new key also. Can any old chip be programmed or does it need to be from the same sort of key also.

As far as I have found so far the later cars had 2 different types of key and I was hoping one was the same frequency as mine.

I don't think there is a sensor on the sunroof trim, I am sure it works without line of sight. I will have to check tomorrow, only had the car 11 years so is time I learnt my way around it but I am sure the only sensor is the cc one on the dash.

It's a 97 pre-facelift. Was hoping they were the same frequency or whatever as the housings on eBay are cheap and then all I would need is a new blade cut.  If it isn't compatible then it looks like I would need a new key and a fob.
Never mind, was trying to keep costs down if possible.

Cheers

Hi all,

As I only have 1 does a spare have to be the same separate key and fob or are the later 2 button keys compatible with the locks/alarm?

Cheers Al
