The problem with this site is it's a bit like the old days when if you had a Beetle,a on coming Beetle driver would wave at you. It's friendly with people willing to help unlike other forums where people just want to know where you can get the latest go faster stripe or where to get a flashing Jesus figure.
It's the people on the site that make it,not the type of car or make. :y :y :y :y :y

Takes me back, had a Beetle for 13 years, suffered a cracked windscreen (crazed), so when waved by oncoming Bug cleverly decided to open side window to wave back. Bad Mistake, finished up with 10,000 pieces of windscreen in my lap at 60mph. I was still finding bits of glass two years later!!!!!!!!!!!! ::) ::) ::) ::)

Well Maria's main Christmas Present wasn't really something I could "wrap up", but I'm pretty sure I made the right choice.

On 23rd Jan, we are travelling first class to Stansted airport from Cardiff, where we fly to Ibiza - just the two of us.

We have 5 nights there, self catering - where I intend we eat out all of the time and experience all of the hidden local treats (we are already booked  for a nice sunday lunch ;) )

It will be very quiet there, most of the tourist stuff closed. We have a car, and will drive to the remote, romantic spots/beaches.... for some quality time together, something we have had little  of, for a while  :)

After 5 nights there, we fly to Amsterdam for the weekend,... where we  are visiting  friends who run a bar out there - always a scream, and great atmosphere.

Arriving at home on a Sunday, after 8 days away, almost in time to start a new job..  :y

I cannot wait for the break  :y

You'll deserve it after flying from Stansted ;D ;D ;D

A very good article here about how the Israelis secure their airports with the minimum of fuss. Lessons to be learned, methinks. :y

I flew for a living, and was always happy operating out of Ben Gurion, but not so happy with many others! :-X :-X :-X

Tunnie's Sky mates: "What did you do on New Years Eve"
Tunnie: "Helped a fat bloke change an exhaust"

6 hours. 6 rather hours  >:(

Needless to say, all bolt bolts sheared. Knew they would. 3 drilled out reasonably OK, 4th - where I got a snapped drill bit stuck - must have taken about 3hrs. Reckon I left Tunnie with a pile of around 20 broken drill bits, and a heap of blunt ones. What a pig of a job.

Cheers Tunnie :y

I was cold, tired, and back was killing me.  Got home just in time - she'd done ribs :D. Watched the Top Gear Bolivia, then tucked up in bed by 10:30. Just got up now :o

Exactly why it is one job I always pay someone else to do, also avoids rust flecks in the eyes. V. painful IIRC ;D ;D ;D

It's probably a capacitor somewhere they are always favorite

Agree with Jimbo, check any capacitors. Tend to fail with age. (from someone who trained in electronics 40 years ago & has forgotten it all!!!)

Question?

Why is it that someone who is tall and skinny or someone who is short and fat is such a verbal focus point to others.  To the point where they get fairly abusive in the way they refer to them...........    Are they jealous?

It doesn't matter what weight you are or how you look so long as you're happy with yourself.
I'm 5'9" & the last time i weighed myself i was 12 & half stone (i don't have any scales)

I walk miles everyday & i'm fitter than most half my age :)

Anyone half my age is still old! ;D ;D ;D
