Well I found the place and I'm here. My car got driven into and I have a quote for £268 to repair it - I will pass this on to Interlink so they can pay the repair place.
Looks like my bumper had been sprayed before as we found a mess at one end where it had popped out slightly. Also the paint was flaking off rather than being chipped - he said it had been poorly sprayed. He will also be spraying my wing spoiler.
Before the holidays I am going to have to fix the leak behind the engine, best case is loose Jubilee clip, worst is badly cut pipework, HBV is in the middle!
Yes it has leaked since I fitted the evaporator feed :(
-
Other jobs are to refit the radio aerial as it fell off as I pushed the head unit back in. However the 10 CD changer I fitted made life more interesting anyway.
-
My problem with CD changers is I always forget to change CDs. Currently, in my changer, I have a nice selection of Xmas tunes. ie Slade, Wizard, Band Aid etc :-X
-
Mine is supposed to do mp3 as well. I have bought a couple of CDs for it and TBH half the songs on a CD are pants.
I will be doing a few before holiday, I am wondering if the changer would do ATRAC though as it is a Sony
-
sounds like it could be mine (so many niggly jobs to do)
- Brake pad and handbrake shoe overhaul
Full service
New centre caps to fit
two new tyres ( got them) to fit
Climate Control bulbs to replace
then i am on to the long term stuff
- rust bubbles along every window ledge
sleek and shiny new (blueflame?) exhaust
so many jobs, but we still love them Omegas really ;)
-
Mine is juddering while braking - new discs required, also I think the front tyres are borderline.
Lots of work some my fault some wear and tear
-
i have been threatening to do all this work for 6 weeks, this time i will do it!!
3days off work next week - should leave me just the rust to sort out.
Mr Imber....Tyre Wear and juddering, me thinks youve been hard driving ;) like me!

(TheBoy runs and hides knowing that MarinImber wrote his MV6 off)

They were quite worn when I bought the car, I do tend to drive hard though!

You sod - you now owe me a Y32SE and AR35 for my next upgrade!

And the 2.6 is little slower than the 3.0!
Ex hire car well thrashed - goes well

Only of you have a Y32SE for me ;D ::) :D

I'll just stick to the X30 engine for now. Don't want to change the car again in a rush - 3 different omegas in 9 months - preferred the second but love the 3rd spec.
Things to do -
rewire all of the heated seat system or find the fault in the circuitry (previous muppet owner installed a foil covered fuse and has as a result burned the wiring loom to the rear seat switches)
Try and get climate regassed (new compressor fitted and belted but not holding pressure - so vacuum test required before regassing
fix or replace washer fluid tank - think a leak somewhere on the headlamp washer jets pipework but not sure - only lasts a day before another 6 odd litres of water required.
Stop alarm from sounding when the car is hot! Is intermittent and starting to bug me (and my neighbours)!!!
find out where the parcel shelf retaining rubber went - the shelf keeps collapsing open at present - not very secure...
Fuel filter...
Things done recently
Handbrake adjusted (fiddly job taking far too long with daft but workable access, however the handbrake now works on 4 clicks as opposed to 'works if you are lucky').
Washer jet unblocked (pipe was constricted by bonnet hinge and scuttle plastics.

Common problem for this is the bonnet switch needs adjusting - its the switch mounted on the side of the PAS reservoir bottle.
-
Just seen that, only happens when the car has been baking in the sun for a while, so sounds very likely. Will have a look later and see if it is the culprit!
Cheers
