engine rev, slow to drop down

Hi ive noticed with the cold weather the engine holds it revs until its warmed up. so when changing gear the revs are high and its slipping when put into gear after about 5 min its back to normal, does anyone know what it could be thanks

x20xev standard 5 speed 1996. engine holding revs can see it on rev counter take foot off accelerator and it takes its time to come down, when engine been running for 5 min its fine ?

Sticky idle control valve or throttle body be the first two things to check...
