Title: Gear box level washer

Hi does anyone know where I can get the washer for the level plug? Vauxhall have said it is no loner available.  If I cannot get one, I read in the maintenance section about re-annealing it, is this as simple as heating it till cherry red or is there a method to doing it?

Take the plug to Halfords or any decent car parts place, they should have something suitable

Your re-annealing description is correct, if it's a copper washer, but it will remain soft for only as long as you don't manipulate (work-harden) it. Unlikely, I know, but I had to say that.
Anneal it and fit and forget!

Leave washer on bolt, just put some ptfe tape around threads.  Job done  :y
