For the laugh, I thought I'd see what they said;

kwirk fart = Just shy of £500 for a new cat fitted.

Welded up at a back street place round the corner for £10.

I had an old Volvo 440. The guy in Kwik fit said they were the most expensive exhaust they did.

I've worked in big factories (Vauxhall Ellesmere Port) and small factories. In the small factories the fitters just fixed everyone's car.

Probably because the small factories allowed you to drive their cars round to the work shop  Quite a few cars were fixed at Hall's cough sweets factory, none though at Wigan
