Hi there. Don't know if this is a common problem or not, but I can't open the boot of my car from the dash switch, only from the key fob. Any ideas where to loak first to get it working?
Thanks in advance!!

May seem a silly question, but are you keeping the button pressed for about 4 seconds?
It is a safety feature that means you will not instantly open the boot when just quickly pressing the switch. ;)

Many first time FL owners get caught out by this little secret . . .myself included many moons ago when getting my first facelift model :-[ :-[ :-[

It's in the manual ::)

I'm supposed to read the manual? ;D am going outside excitedly in a minute to check this out!!! I'll let you know the results in a sec!

Ha!! Thank you very much for divulging the secret information!!! :y That's saved me an awful lot of confusion running the multi over a load of perfectly working stuff, scratching my head, wondering why it doesn't work. Shame citroen didn't think of that for the suspension height button on my c5; get cup from cup holder, car hits the floor, reach for sunglasses, car hits the floor, grab a cd, car hits the floor... :o
Thanks,
John.

Well if your not going to FRTM, your next challenge is to work out what that big button does at the back of the center armrest on the center consul.

In my 2001 Elegance Model the Boot opens immediately after having pressed the button but it does not open at all if key is in ignition switch or doors locked.

You have read the manual... ::)

Yes I read the manual and tested, too, just thinking about these differences, I have also a 2.6, from 2001. This is the "Finnish" import originally. Does different countries have differences in these functions?

Possibly. There is a guide for 'adjusting' it.
Hillpers boot mod iirc :y

Tis true.
ISTR early facelifts were one-push, and then they changed it to a time delay, but don't quote me.
