Street parking. ::)
Why do some people think that they have rights to the bit of street outside their house and that nobody else can park there. ??? :-\
That said there's a bloke down the road who keeps his works van and car on the street. Fair enough, but he's obviously not been at work all week as he's abandoned his van outside my house! It's a complete PITA when it's pissing down and I have to park 200 metres up the street and carry all my stuff down to the house in 2 or 3 trips! >:(
I can confess I've had thoughts of going out in the dead of night and letting his tyres down! :-X ;D
-
Street parking 2. ::)
People who abandon their car slap bang in the middle of a space big enough for two cars! >:(
Knobheads! :D
-
I just hate everybody else on the road, it's easier that way.

Now even easier.

My Swiss penknife, that I always carry with me, would make short work of the cable tie. :y :y :y My own cable ties could then restrain a very p*ssed off STEMO. :P ;D

None of mine are Swiss, but I do ensure that they're all sharp. And I very rarely leave the house without one.

So you'd tie me up.....then what happens? :-*

Where my lock up garage is you pull off the road onto a large patch of spare ground and the garages front onto this.The other day when I took the Omega for its M.o.T. I parked the V70 in line with my garage but far enough back so I could get the Omega out,it wasn't blocking anyone else in or out and[as I thought]it was in no-ones way.When I got back and put the Omega back in the garage I turned round and the bloke who lives next door to the garage/spare ground was there and asked me not to park so far away from the garage as when his family came to visit him that's where they liked to park as they didn't like parking at the side of the road outside his house ??? So they can park at the roadside or they've got all that spare ground to park on but no they want that particular spot :-X

Did you tell him to "intercourse away"? :D

Anti-social parking is the bane of my job. Muppets who think they can park we're and how they like causing an obstruction, or preventing me from accsesing, somewhere, If only the law allowed you to damage said motor, they'd soon park better.

Backing into a yard blindside on a trading estate where there are cars parked everywhere can be interesting! ::)

A few weeks ago myself and a few others were held up by a trucker reversing his artic into a small entrance. The patience he shew getting the rig into the small congested space was a work of art. We all gave him a round of applause. 8)

Part of me misses the challenges of regular class 1 work, but there's not much call for it in airport land ::)
That said, I have my Snow Plough refresher on Thursday...
Which means doing a reverse figure of 8 in This.... (https://photos.app.goo.gl/wiNedKdb3TSsGGyZ6)
Which is nice :D

Yup. And tomorrow's delivery is just that, at the bottom of a dead end, only way is blind-side in.
-
They never manage to design these places so that there's enough room a) for everyone to park out of the road, and b) to enable a full length artic to drive in either way and reverse straight into the loading bay ::)
ps... The law only requires you to take reasonable care, exchange details and report as required ;)

When Lidl had their supermarket in the centre of Hinckley ( in the Borough) i was full of admiration for the delivery guys who had to reverse down the narrowest alley you have ever seen having first got at right angles on what was a busy road.

Quite a lot of Aldi and lidl are blindsided bays, as the stores are all built to a STD design in the fatherland.

That would explain why Thamesmead are looking for drivers...

All supermarkets want drivers this time of year,, the Germans you have to load trailer, go to stores, put stuff in the chiller, or onto shop floor to be stripped, then reload waste,.. get to next store, move waste start and repeat,,, about £10-50 to £11-75 pH. Tesco £10-49 plus bounus for lates rolling 5days all shifts.

What? Gist at Barnsley (M&S) are advertising up to £25ph.
I think that's through Pertemps.

Currently getting £15 for throwing pallets out of a 26t and I drive further just going to work than I do at work ::)
Although RM trunking is appealing at £22.50, but there's greater odds of me voting Labour than having a job at the end of January if I signed up for that :D

The RM finishes about 2nd week of January, it's a well known good job from October, they are billeting drivers for the 6 week period in travel lodges, and they want as many shifts as you can do(manpower) Nearly as good as the two week strawberries to Wimbledon,, £1500 pw this year.
