High performance German cars (apart from Porsche)have limiters which are set to 155mph,they never made an Omega which was fast enough to need one. ;)

There are 3 speed limiters fitted to an Omega

1) Your rigt foot
2) The number of points on your driving license
3) The power/aerodynamic ratio of the vehicle.

Hmm. My Omega would be going "quite quick" before it ever ran out of revs in top. Around 170-180 MPH says the back of a fag packet. I think it'd run out of grunt before then. ;)

Good point Kevin, although in theory the gearing will affect top speed.down a steep hill with a good tail wind? ;D

...But that was a Carlton to us Martin and it wasnt really German, the reason it did 170+was the lotus designed and built engine. ;)
