Hi there Shark1e on the reception when I had my mondeo I used to get most the way to derby before starting to loose Signal1 but since having my 2.5 estate which has outside aerial I now only get to uttoxeter before starting to loose ,dont think it helps that signal is 206 freq and ram fm in derby is 208 maybe the standard radio dont filter very well and ram bleads over signal.

I agree with the tell tale sign rings but unless you have a built in system of which most you cant get updated verywell its the only option ,ive got the tomtom 920 annd mine even keeps working through tunnels.

cheers rob was worth asking at half the price.
going to take the scuttle off to get the heater matrix pipes out to flush it and thought while im at it replace a few things that arnt too expensive while its off as im having heater probs and hear the flaps moving on there own with out touching the manual controls  its not a digital climate model ,so thinking vac probs possibly.

Omega General Help / Air flaps/heater
« on: 27 November 2009, 12:49:05 »
I have basic manual heater controls no C/C been having trouble with not much heat ,tried burping the pipes with cap off which has done nothing ,I have the little pump to the side of the expansion tank that I never feel buzzing or anything so not sure if that can hold back the water to the matix ,when I get five im going to remove the scuttle and get the 2 pipes off to flush the matrix and check out the hbv.
I know when Daz did my cam cover gaskets he said the solanoid or diapham at the back wasnt working ,well ive noticed when cold it seems to work but dont see it moving when warm.
So on to my next bit that brings the lot together could it be a vacum prob ,I noticed driving along the other day touching no controls I heard flaps moving and the a few mins moving again ,I was in traffic and only getting up to arout 20 mph ,wouldnt of thought on manual controls anything should move on its own.
I know its a long winded post ,thanks for reading lol
