For hi res you need to spend decent cash. Avocent do some top banana ones, can even do file transfer over the thing, and control power. And it works over IP, so you get console access where ever you are. I use a PS/2 version here, but the usb dongles are only £200 each.  A 16 port DSR is around £4k, the power bits are expensive, as is the software that authenticates you...

Wish I had that at the school i worked at, I would want to buy that if i was a network manager...but a bit steep for my student budget!

I was thinking less than £50 for the whole lot including cables and the box itself.

wow your TFT goes to a high res, most big onesi seen don't go that high.

We used LG Flatrons at my old work, great monitors. I was thinking of this:

But highest res is 1280 x 1024

Can someone recommend a good 4 port KVM Switch for me?

Must be USB, as the mini mac i will get does't have PS2 ports.

I'd like one that would come with all the cables needed. I saw this one on dabs, any one else recommend one?

Tunnie for prime minister is that what happens with 2000 posts

Thanks Pete!!  ;)

If i get elected, no income tax for you!  :D

Seriously though I do feel sorry for Tony, overall I think he has done a good job. Compared to what the convservates put up for election in the past have been a joke, as some could apply for OAP bus passes.

He said this was his last term, and that should have been enough. I belive he should not get pushed out like this, however it looks like he needs to name a date now to shut them up.

As for his replacement? - Well at least the conservatives have a leader who at least looks like he could be a PM, he just needs to get his policys in order, and there is a good chance he could be the next PM.

Personally I don't think Brown will last, he will just be a stop gap between Tony and his replacement. Brown has done a good job as chancellor of the exchecker, (or however you spell it) and i think he should keep to that.

I doubt the country will ever let fatboy be PM, you know who i mean.  ;)
You having a go at Maggie? She's my hero  ;D

No comment from me...

I think he means Michael Howard - who TBH was getting on a bit. If the Conservatives had wanted power they should have got in Ken Clarke instead of Ian and Duncan Smith. I think Tony Blair deserves retirement - running the country is no walk in the park - look how he has aged.

I did indeed mean Michael Howard, and the 2 previous OAP's they electected. As for the great Maggie, she's a bit before my time. But if she was running she would get my vote purely based on the Faulklands!!

The only thing is when you sell the car without the V5 you cannot prove you sold the vehicle on the day it was sold so any speeding, parking fines or worse would be hard to prove it wasn't you. Personally Tunnie I would wait

Yeah i think i will Pete, just feels wrong selling it without the log book. As you point out as well, the car could get speeding tickets.

Its Taxed and MOT'ed until the end of the year, so still saleable...

Ahhh just re read that ....you've sent off the new keeper supplement to the DVLA.....that says do not sent to the DVLA  :(

You have to send the new keeper supplement with the V62, otherwise you have to pay a £19 fine.

I do have 2 copys of it though, the previous owner gave me 2 new keeper supplements, the other one was from when he bought the car.

Just looking at it now, has all the right details on it.

Can I use that to sell the car? - Although I have still applyed for the log book.
