Things must have changed since I was there... back then it was just called 'ull ;D

We took a ferry from Hull not that long ago. I actually quite like the place. :y

It's not as much of a shithole as it once was. :y

Without going into specifics, there are reasons.

However, we all know the standards expected here, and none of us should be relying on the filters to tidy up our posts (or the Mods for that matter).

I always keep my language nice and clean here at OOF. :)  But there are some bastards who don't. :)

Perhaps I should apply to become a moderator. :) Is the pay good?

General Car Chat / Re: MOT passed

I'm taking a good care of her, and there's one more thing I practice for the last few years... I need to arrive to MOT centre
some ten minutes before their lunch time  :P (no need to be booked here) and it's a bit easier to pass  :-X ::)

 :y

Now its time for some serious cleaning of my interior , smells of doggy from previous owner  ::) Once all the mechanics are sorted its just a case of keeping on top of things with regular servicing  :)

With any luck  'Goldie' will see you out, Mr Emd. :y

Good news on the pass, D. :y

I'm sure you're a very nice bunch of people. But....I don't think I'm going to be able to listen to Adrian Chiles' voice for three weeks.........or even three hours.
Scousers, Geordies, Brummies, even Cockneys, with strong accents, shouldn't be allowed on TV for any more than five minutes at a time.

especially cockneys. :y

Perhaps his good looks compensate for his Brummie accent. :)

I have 5 channels plus freeview....so why would I need to pay Sky to watch a load of repeats?... ::) ::) :)

Point in that? Mealy posting to point out anyone who has Sky Sports gets a freebie for no effort.

.........and I'm merely pointing out that I don't think  sky is worth the money when we already have so much choice..... ::) ::) ::) ;) ;D

I'd rather spend my money on alcohol, illegal drugs, and loose women. :y

That's right, Grandad  :y

It's okay for wealthy pensioners such as yourself. For whom money is no object. ::) ::) ;)

There's not a lot in gen diss that is about cars.

I agree with the Daewoo owner. General chat is just that.......chat about anything and everything.

I don't see why certain topics should be 'off limits'.... :y

As for JFK ....I was 3 years old and had just enjoyed 'Muffin the Mule'... ::) ::) :)

I bet the mule weren't so bloody keen though ::) ;D

I may have only been 3 years old but I'd already downed a bottle of scotch that day, so nothing, human or animal, was 'off limits'... ;D ;D ;)

11/9  ;) University College Hospital estates department I was setting up an HP A0 plotter when the first plane hit

Apollo 11 - I was 5 years old & I remember being allowed to stay up and watch (on our 405 line black & white TV). Seeing the images now they look so grainy, our TV always looked like that  ;D

JFK - 4 months before I was born so I don't remember that one. ::)

I was nine years old and remember it well. :y

I also had the Airfix kit for Apollo 11, complete with lunar module. :y
