That could be a mare, as its going to be a pain to retrofit the engine management from the newer car.

You could use the old engine management, but would need some effort around throttles, EGR and SAI. Plus the mapping may be too far off?

AS TB implies .... 2.5 is cable controlled throttle etc ... 3.2 is "drive by wire" electronic controls ...... big difference in hardware fittings ... :(

That would be easiest solution, thus keeping the original engine management system.

You bolt the old engine management system, sensors etc to the 3.2, simples.

No, you fit the engine management setup from the 2.5 to the 3.2 and then fit it

Thinking aloud....

So keep the cam covers plug leads and sensors with the car?
So your just fitting the block Auxiliarys and heads?
As I understand it?

Manifolds, cats and exhaust from the 3.2
Bin the egr leaving the sensor electrics working.
Use 3.2 inlet?
2,5 plenum with throttles and icv

?

Remove 2.5 from car, leaving loom, ecu and throttle cable in car.

Take all the sensors, coilpacks and throttle body off the 3.2.

Fit 2.5 throttle body, sensors, dispack and plug leads to the cleared 3.2.

Refit 3.2 into car, plug all the wiring back in, and reattatch the throttle cable.

That's it, nice and straight forward, and imo a waste of a 3.2 ::)

Only tuning would be 3.0 throttle body and ecu. 3.2 has better exhaust manifolds, but you are already fitting them with the engine. May as well fit the whole 3.2 exhaust too.
