The SM was seriously ahead of its' time. 0-60 in 8.5 and 140+ MPH. Not far off a 3.2 Omega. Speed sensitive PAS, disk brakes all round, rain sensitive wipers, steering headlamp beams... Getting one repaired in the 1970's when the average mechanic probably struggled with twin carbs must have been a nightmare!
