Centre console bolts
« on: 07 February 2020, 19:38:40 »

In the many months since I stripped the entire car out, I've forgotten which safe place I've put the bolts that hold the centre console in, in.

What size and type are they? Can I pop to the local fixings place and get a dozen wee bolts and washers in, say, 8mm head? I can't for the life of me think what they look like.

I've also found two torx-headed bolts about an inch and a half long. I think they're something to do with the centre armrest but again, can't remember.

If only I'd listened to my inner voice saying "make sure you label each bag and put it safe"...

Long bolts go through either side of the rear console and indeed secure the arm rest.

The console structure is bolted down with smaller versions of the same. Trim fits with two self tapping Phillips under the shifter plate and one under the handbrake gaiter :y
