Today the UK will commemorate the end of WW2 when the Japanese Emperor ordered an end to the fighting.The USA commemorate it on 2nd September when the formal surrender was signed.

Yes, and how we can sincerely thank the Japs for attacking the American Fleet at Pearl Harbour, that drew the USA into the war, and thank Hitler for declaring war subsequently on the US, and also thank Hitler for his greatest blunder of invading the Soviet Union, all ensuring that WW2 would end the way it did with the huge advantage of having the United States resources on our side.

The dropping of the atomic bombs by the Americans was a suitable way of ending WW2 when the Japanese Warlords were so determined to carry on with their fanatical and criminal stance.
