It is the Austin engines that bring back memories for me!! 8-) 8-) 8-)  Those lovely green rocker covers!! :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Learnt basic mechanics on them, as they were sooooo easy to take apart and reassemble! :y :y :y

Needed to be Lizzie as they threw big ends and piston rings so often!!

Yes indeed, and burnt out valves don't I know!! ::) ::) :D :D :D ;)

Still all that dismantling and rebuilding those engines did teach you a lot, and kept your poor old car on the road! :D :D :D ;)

No complicated electronics and sensors to worry about! 8-) 8-)

I learnt about engines building them, on a production line...

Very different beasties to the car engine, but gave me an idea of what I was looking at...  There are many areas that I won't attempt to play with, but, I know that the job is done and to a reasonable standard (not the neatest finish though)...
