Changed Bonnet Strut to my Omega, yes, just one. Ordered two but the other original was still in good condition. Now I have a spare and it is easier to work there without that wooden stick...

I had the patented broom handle when i had my Mk2 Granada saloon. It had an black foam rubber boot spoiler which made the boot lid too heavy for the hinge springs.
The spoiler looked good most of the time, but on frosty days the foam used to burst out where the water that seeped into it froze.  ;D

What an odd way to do it ???

Fit the other new one, and keep the used (which might not be as good as you think) one as a spare. And that's only worthwhile if you're likely to need a gas spring for other projects.

The springs were readily adjustable but you had to remove the boot lid to safely adjust them.

Washed it, dried it and started to put the ceramic coat top up on it but then it started to rain so had to abandon that job.  ::)
Went indoors and started googling BMW 530d M Sport Tourers around 2022/23 plate. I知 very happy with my current vehicle but want to change it before I die they stop building decent engined vehicles.  :)
Aren't we expecting Saharan sand this weekend?

Similar weather here. Very pleasant. Did a quick engine service on BIL,s Astra van.
He then helped me rebuild my garden fence that got blown down by the wind last week.
Ready for a spot of lunch and a cold beer now, which will be followed by the now traditional middle aged afternoon nap.  :D
