« on: 27 February 2007, 13:31:52 »

Hi all,

I don't suppose anyones got any of the photos from the V6 breather system cleaning guide saved?  They don't appear when I look at it...

Cheers,

Chris.

Looks like we might have a local subsection going  ;D

Looking forward to these photos mrgaffney, I will be cleaning out my breathers shortly...

Would be interested to know how to get the EGR valve nut (the big one!) undone, as I couldn't when I changed my cambelt and ended up disconnecting the inlet manifold from the plenum.

Chris, I'll do your breather system at the same time as the cam cover gasket change (necessary to stop gaskets blowing again).. you can see how it's done and take pics...

Hi James, that would be ace, then when I need to do it again I'll be sorted, and of course I'll post them on here :)

r.welfare,

I'll sign up for the Newbury section too (I'm in Woolhampton).

I used a big adjustable to release the EGR pipe.

Cheers

often helps if you tap the wrench/spanner you are using.  Not too hard just enugh to send vibrations through the joint and release those stubborn ones.
