Ive got one and I fitted it myself. It was very easy to do all I needed was a 10mm spanner and a wide bladed screwdriver and about 1/2 an hour. You just prise back the tags on the ECU cover, unclip the chip and push the new chip in its place jobs a goodun :y and well worth doing

Price is now £160 I think, and still worth it!

Had them fitted to 2 of my Omegas now. Very highly recommended. :)
Just make sure your car is running right and you have done the basics first to get the best out of it.

I would always recommend changing the following beforehand.

Oil and filter change (and every 5k at most)

Air filter (dirty = seriously reduced airflow and reduced performance)

Fuel filter (often gets overlooked and can make a big difference)

Forte fuel treatment (buy off ebay, better than the stuff from Halfords etc). Put in tank with less than 1/4 remaining for best effect I have found.

Spark plugs (have a long life but worth checking).

Oh and the chip is very simple to fit.

Does it require super-premium?

Doesn't require it, will just run better on it. I always use Shell V power.
