Quick question. can the engine be removed without dropping the gearbox? IE: by removing rad, bell housing bolts, engine mounts etc... then moving it forward and up.....

if i can get away without dropping the box then thats the ideal scenario.

I believe you have the option of separating the gearbox or not. There's quite a bit of room at the front with everything out of the way.

Seen a few engines on Ebay and at scrappers with the gearbox on and I bet they didn't put the box back on after removing the engine!

Once radiators and all the other stuff is removed you can take out engine and gearbox together.

What about valves and ports , are they smaller than 3.0?

Also, how do the 2.6 heads compare to the 3.2 - can you up compression on a 3.2 by fitting 2.6 heads?

IIRC the 2.5 heads have the same size valves and ports, just the 3.0 cams make them open as far as they used to.... :-[ i think....

will it not foul on the floor  :-? i dont have use of a pit now  :-/ will try without the box but if needs be will have to do it with  >:(
