I know its an Omega forum, but these are a stunning car IMHO

I will be having one of these in a couple of years, once CDX gives up.

Great car to be chauffeured around in, not so much to drive, according to all the reviews. Typical yank tank really. They're common as much over there too, almost every one with what seems like 40" wheels and pimp tints darker than the black paint ::)

I had      one of these on loan a      few months ago....what a car...

fantastic to drive, phenominal road presence, huge reserves of power and torque and they look great...

however depreciation is horrendous hence my reason for waiting a few years before I buy one, in the auctions the early stuff is fetching 11K....a

OK... can you then name another RWD, rather large but not huge, alternative motor to the Omega - other than Merc/BMW/Jaguar? Cadillac CTS?

i bet the insurance is a nice price aswell!!

I can see myself owning one of these when i turn 30 :D

Probably not that bad, not sure what the group is but my 840Ci is group 20 and it's still a fair chunk cheaper than my Impreza WRX STi was to insure. The Omega (group 16 IIRC) is a fair bit cheaper again. Admittedly I've since passed the supposedly magical age 25 barrier, but I think it's got a lot to do with the average driver profile -- I can't imagine anywhere near as many 300c will be wrapped around a tree compared with Subarus, Evos, etc proportionately speaking. It's a sensible "old man's" car at the end of the day, even if it is available with a 5.7 V8. The fact you can't buy it with a manual gearbox suggests that the average owner probably uses it to pop down to the post office on a Wednesday to pick up his pension :D

The Omega is an old man's car... although some are more "old man" than others, I think my manual MV6 is possibly the least old man available in the range (although the average age probably still approaches 40 lol). You're only as old as the bit of stuff you're feeling... just make sure you stay on the right side of 16 and you can have eternal youth :o ;)
