Let Battle commence my Project CDX is slowly dying
« on: 23 September 2006, 21:59:15 »

Okay so i have had this car a few months with the intention of breaking - but it had to wait in queue!!!

Finally started today spent 4 hours pulling bits off her - that rear shelf was a bit tricky - really should have referrred to the haynes or checked on here!!!!

Clearly i am not in RONNIES league - i envisage between running a full time job and another fledgling business as well as doing family stuff this wil take me 4 weeks to clear.

So next post will show her as she is tonight...............

Bodywork looked tidy enough, and if you intended to break it must have been cheap, so what was wrong with it? Engine?

no guys its mechancally perfect!

purchased it for £300 No tax or mot.

But it did have windcreen washer nozzles - which i ket losing auctions for on ebay up to £50.
Its also got a private plate which i was going to buy - probably even a cheap one would have cost me 150 transferred.

So th way i looked at it the car - after supplying me with above - only cost me £100.

Whats wrong with it - well......

its filthy beyone all comprehension.
it requires new wiper motor
it requires rear brake shoes
it requires 2 cats
it required 2 tyres

nothing in iteself hard there but i thought it uneconomical for a 1994 2.5 cdx. Also body work is pretty poor its been sprayed on rear quarter panel and its bad!

On the plus side its got/ had  ::) loads of toys inc cd changer, air con and a wonderful low milage fsh engine thats cleaner than the car.

Soooooo who has removed a v6 engine as that day is coming soon  ;D

Hey Mark....good start  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

That pic of the rear with a wheel shoved between the passenger front and rear......wouldnt be a space saver would it??? its a bit hard to see with the angle of it.....if it is and your getting rid of it and if its a 17" one id be interested.
I've got a 16" space saver slung in the back of my meega at the mo'.....and always thought its gonna make the meega lean a bit if i ever have to use it.

Cheers

Good job!

I can't help but notice how horrid that trim is though, and that's a CDX :o. What did the 94 GLS get, cardboard trim?

Oh and I assume it was owned by a boy racer at some point, judging by the "steinmetz elite" badges and superglued on Halfords spoiler  ;D
