Winter tyres and alloys
« on: 05 March 2011, 12:00:42 »

Anyone used winter tyres? Thinking of getting a set for next winter.
Alloys, will the Astra 5 stud ones fit? Or does anyone know what Vauxhall alloys will fit a 2001 Oemga?

I've had winter tyres on both my wifes car and my daily snotters for a number of years now. Always favoured Vredestein SnowTracs.

The difference that they make to grip, turn-in, braking distances etc, is remarkable. Well worth the money, especially in our neck of the woods.

With winter tyres I'd be tempted to use the 15" steelies all round.

check the offset for the fitment of astra alloys, but if poss fit one on the front to make sure it does not foul the caliper or back plate before buying, or just get a spare set of omega wheels. :y
