Daytime Running Lights - Final clarification
« on: 11 March 2011, 16:28:57 »

Following a number of other posts on the subject I decided to clarify this once and for all.

How did I do that? With the official Vx wiring diagrams for the Omega which I have for 1999 MY in full.

There is a dedicated 10 amp fuse (F8) and a relay/control unit K59.

The wiring for these is not fitted in RHD vehicles.

Therefore, although space exists for F8, it has no wiring behind it, and K59 simply doesn't exist in RHD.

On the fusebox lid, my car (a '99 Model) shows an "S" as a territory code against F8's position - which signifies that its only fitted in Sweden. The fuse box cover is of course the same on LHD and RHD cars.

I'd be very surprised if FL cars are different.

So, hopefully that clarifies this knowing that although it could be retrofitted, it would be a "non trivial" activity.
