Hi, Has any one been able to put a decent leccy Ariel on to a facelift saloon? If so where did you site it. Cheers..The reason I ask is because I think there is one in the rear window and its pants, I keep losing the station...

Hi, As the sun starts getting high in the mornings and starts warming things up, ie. the car, the alarm goes off and starts waking the neighbours up. :-? Can any one tell me what's wrong and how to fix it please. thank you.

Hi,All Jumped in the car this morning, 2.2 dti cdx 2001. But radio would not turn on, lights up but thats all. And when I remove the ignition key the mid stays on, as well as the radio lights. It was all fine last night. Does any one know what's wrong?

Omega General Help / Fan belt tensioner

I have just had to replace the fan belt on my 2.2 dti cdx 2001 reg. I noticed there was a lot of movement in the tensioner, I could move the wheel up and down. Should it not be able to move at all? I think its just play in the arm, but never the less I don't think I should be able to move it. Can anyone throw some light on this matter?  cheers,, Colin.....

Omega General Help / No heat in the foot well

I have noticed that when I change the air flow to blow in to the foot wells there is very little air (hot or cold)  blowing in to the drivers side, and even less in the passenger side. Even when the air con is in auto mode. I have tried resetting, ie. pressing auto & off for 3-5 sec's, but no change. Is this normal or can something be done to get more airflow in the foot wells ?

Hello,  I have to replace my front bumper, is it an easy job? I have looked in the mentainance guide and found nothing for the front bumper. But there is a guide to remove the rear bumper.

Hi, Can anyone tell me if the Omega bumpers, front / rear, are interchangeable between face lift and pre facelift. I know saloon and estate rear bumpers are different, but what about the fronts? I ask because I am looking for a rear bumper for my face lift Omega in Green Z380. (fat chance I know)

Hi, The EML. came on today followed by a loss of power, also noticed the rev counter was not counting. I turned off the ignition for a around Twenty seconds, then back on again but still the same. Can any one tell me what's going on??
Nearly forgot,  car is 2.2 dti cdx 2001reg.

Omega General Help / 2.2 Diesel turbo

Hello,
My turbo has just thrown the towel in, clattering and loads of smoke and flames coming from it.  :'(Are these repairable, or will it have to be a brand new unit   My fingers and everything else are crossed for a repair.
Does any one know???

It looks like the water pump has thrown the towel in, is replacement an easy job? I have looked in the maintenance guide but cant find anything. And the car being the facelift 2.2 diesel means I cant get a book to help me. Is there any thing I should know before I start.    Cheers .  Just realised I need to remove the serpentine fan belt, but I don't know where the tensioner is. Can someone tell me please.

Omega General Help / Fuel Problems.

Hi All,
Omega 2.2 dti cdx face lift saloon. If parked on slope facing down hill all night it will start in the morning fine. But if parked on level ground not a chance. I have a primer bulb under bonnet and I have to pump the fuel through to get it started. I have changed the injector crossover seals, also the filter housing, and got a load of crap out of the fuel tank but still the same problem.  Has any one else had this trouble, and been able to fix it? Many thanks in advance.

Omega General Help / Is the diesel pump failing?

I am having trouble starting when the car has been left standing overnight. I have changed the crossover injector seals and the leak off pipes but I an still having trouble. The car is a facelift 2001 2.2 tdi cdx. I am wondering if the pump is failing, is there any way of testing it without having to re mortgage the house to pay the VX main stealer.
