You can remove the unit with a couple of small screwdrivers in the small holes on the front if you don`t have a pair of removal tools. I managed it with just one screwdriver and carefully put my fingers in the CD cartridge slot and my thumb in the tape slot and just pulling slightly when you insert the screwdriver to release the locking tab, just don`t pull too hard or you risk damaging the facia.
As for repairing the broken flap I`ve no idea, I never took mine apart, it`s just sat in a corner collecting dust  ;D

Theres not many spare parts for these models floating around to be honest, you may get lucky on the Bay, or see if any Members have got a fascia kicking around that you salvage the flap from, not sure if the earlier Single Din type had the same flap, guessing fiddly to repair. (I assume your talking about the Cassette Flap?, do you still use it?, if not blank it off)

Other option would be just replace the whole HU (Non Bose).
