Boot mod
« on: 27 February 2012, 19:54:08 »

I have done the boot mod so I can pop the boot without taking the key out, but I have noticed the interior light delay is always active even when the ignition is on. Has any one else had this after doing the boot mod?

Yes it's annoying to have the light on as you drive off, I rigged a redundant TrafficMaster switch as a by-pass. Just poke the button & out it goes.  :y

Yes I occurred to me to rig a by pass, I was thinking of putting a switch above the boot pop switch on the dash..

Can anyone recommend a switch to fit in the blank above the boot pop switch, just to over ride the interior light delay?

Can`t you use a TC switch with relevant wiring at the rear as switch is push to make/break

Nice one, I suppose if you don't have TC, you would need the backing to the switch too. :-\

Only got the switch, no connecting block that slots into the console surround

Will it not fit into the blank in the console? ie. can I drill a hole in the blank to accommodate the switch ?

Not quite sure what you mean, are you thinking of mounting a Trafficmaster switch in a blank?
