starting off aid [snowflake thing]

got in the car after work and went to boot it out of the car park [you got to be brave or you'll be there all night] and the thing had no guts the snowflake was lit.pushed the button and all was ok until i slowed down then it came on again it did this quite a few times but now seems ok      any ideas.

...take it out and check the wiring?

As already mentioned it is likely to be the wiring, prob due to some heavy handed removal/refitting of the gear selector trim at some point in the past...
