Thanks every one, very helpful. I'm loathed to admit that I may have to cut my losses. The damage is quite substantial and I'd be very concerned if it was repaired how safe it would be. So looking around I quite like the original alloys and have seen some very nice ones on eBay. Question is how much do we think my original three irmscher sport stars with 4mm of Pirelli winter rubber on are worth. Some obvious wear and tear but nothing drastic. I know it's kind of a "how long isa  piece of string" question, but give it a go.

Omega General Help / Damaged alloy.

Afternoon all. Just a quick one to gauge opinions really. Last week hit a pot hole, Big Bang, flat tyre. Removed alloy and its dented with a good foot long crack on the inside edge.
So I've been reading on the internet of options and it all seems divided. Personally I'm not too sure a repair is the right thing to do. That said I can't find a replacement for lover nor money it's a shame because the irmscher 18"s supersports do look good on my estate elite.
Any thoughts or opinions welcome.

Evening all, just thought i'd introduce myself.  I'm Mark and I'm on my fourth omega. I first had an original MV6 in black saloon, all singing and dancing, super nice car.  I then traded that for a facelift 3.0 saloon explod, before trading that for an estate 3.2 explod.  I then had a few years being the family man with a diesel vectra, before buying my latest omega in December. An Elite estate MV6.  Its got some rust in the usual places which I'll sort in the summer months and a slight oil leak which previous owner states is the rocker covers(still plastic).  Hardly losing any oil and all looks well so haven't investigated further as yet. A few faults on the warning display, coolant low - gunked up header bottle I suspect, brake pad wear - sensor not connected as wear is fine, and headlight level - both front and rear sensors missing.  So all in all quite a little project for me, but she's stunning and I think this is by far the best I've had.  Only last week though I hit a pot hole and cracked and dented my 18" Irmscher alloy.  So now I've got to find a replacement and they seem as rare as hens teeth.  So thats me, I'll be around, mainly in the wanted section I guess.  If any ones got any advise please get in touch...
