Get my watch batteries changed by a guy on our local market for £3.50. They last 3 or 4 years. When he was on holiday i tried the Timsons hut in the Sainsburys car park and he quoted £12.  :o  I just politely declined his kind offer but the fella behind me went off on one about profiteering bastids.  ;D

Reference to Christmas in any way shape or form is not funny.......and should be banned. :)

Bah, humbug! >:( >:( ;D ;D ;D ;)

Besides, there is November the 5th before then when we all burn politicians and historic political characters on bonfires.................... :o :o :D :D ;)

Bloody place needs blowing up with most of them in it! :)

We should do a re-enactment!  ;D
We could always blame their dodgy electrics.  :D

Ex colleague of mine who still works in vauxhall parts department says lots of prices have risen since Peugeot have taken over.
What a surprise.  ::) I blame Brexit. Oh, hang on. ;)

Has there been an OOF dividend payout recently that I missed? Everyone seems to be paying for oil changes recently. :o :-\
Or buying Mercs.

Well, a fool and his money are easily parted, as the old saying goes.

Or to appease the modern moaners, a fool person unendowed with common sense temporarily caught outside their "safe space" and his/her money....

FTFY, and exactly. If you choose to maintain yourself in such a state of ignorance that you can't tell that £1200 for a battery is utterly absurd you're going to get through an awful lot of money and vaseline and will only have yourself to blame. ::)
Surely you don't have to provide your own vaseline?  :o
Is that considered a consumable?  :o

Robert Mugabe. No explanation needed as to who he was.
Unfortunately, 20 years (or so) too late.  :(

Have you checked that the brakes on the van aren,t binding? Had this once when a new, (to me), van had supposedly been checked and serviced before being handed over to me at the dealers and had problems on the way home from the Peak District. The cretins had adjusted the shoes up too close to the drums and as it got hotter, the drag got worse and worse. Car boiled over and water got into the alternator and goosed that as well. >:(

will do  :y
never thought of that
one thing I need to check is the prop donuts
I imagine that the flexing of these stopped the damage to the park pawl
but they can tear (I know this from carlton ownership )
so I'll check around the devil's front door auto gear selector etc too

one thing that I only just thought of
to replace the numberplate I have to faf about digging out the log book and my licence and about £18  :'(
only dry bread and water to eat this week  :P

I,m sure you,ll be able to bill one of your unsuspecting customers for that trifling amount Dave.  :P  ;D
