Check for damage in the cabin and dash Dave. When a neighbours SIL left his hand brake off and it rolled back into my Desmond, writing it off, i had the boot straightened and bumper refitted. It was over a period of time that i discovered that other, in cabin, damage had been done. The "plastic wood" around the gear lever had pushed up slightly toward the dash, various plastic clips had "popped" and others broke, including the ones holding the dash end cover and the little "cubby" near the light switches was damaged. I managed to refit these but every so often the would pop out again. Sometimes things don,t manifest themselves straight away and it takes a bit of time to find these silly little things. :y

I doubt anyone chooses to drain a gallon of coolant straight on to the floor.

Your faith in humanity is substantially greater than mine.  :-\
You would hope the most people who work on their own cars wouldn,t like to have various oils and other hazardous fluids sloshing around their driveways/road outside their homes. :-\

it was warm today , extra aircon  ;D
making the best of it would be....
sell the mower, astro turf or slab the garden
30 minutes of grass cutting a week = 26 hours a year

Next door neighbour :
Using an angle grinder to remove a Hawthorn bush, which took all day to remove to the tip, watch the fence fall down, because bush holding up fence. Pay for new fence panel. Then when he moved out 3 months later, having his deposit reduced to pay for a new bush. All because he didn't like gardening.
Trees should not hold up fences, clearly the fence had failed  :P

I do like gardening but flowers or veg ,I have my own aquaponics setup to filter my Koi pond water
I just think grass in a small garden is too labour intensive for little gain
I know 95% of people like grass and enjoy cutting the lawn ,but not me  ;D
I,ve got lawns,(smallish) front and rear. After last years searing heat which killed a lot of the grass i thought, that,s ok, it will grow back. But, a lot hasn,t so now all i do is just mow the tops off the dandelions and other weeds. As i live on a large, open plan estate, it,s not worth having a good lawn as all the crap from the neighbours gardens blows across to my patch anyway. ;D
Fit green carpet
then it becomes the wife's job to hoover it  :y
Some low life would probably nick it Dave. Like a gnome that disappeared a couple of years ago. He never did send a postcard. ;)  Didn,t worry me, SWMBO likes ,em. I just think that they are a PITA when i,m trying to do the gardening. :D

Ah money for nothing.

Rescue stuff from a skip. Incur petrol costs, hours of sanding down, spray painting, more costs selling, more petrol, manhours excluded and then with a flourish , back to the original person dumping to present a “ profit” of £30 which is actually a loss of £300 .

Oh forgot to mention that the five legged table painted like a cow that no sane person would buy was sold to a “friend”.

Rubbish programme . Tat.
I agree. You'd have to be a particular type of tosser to part with hundreds of pounds for an upcycled garden gate.

There's a Place Next to Birkdale station, that does Up cycling.
I quite like a bit of that, but my wife dragged me in, to look at a dinning table and chairs.

I starred and starred and then said.

"Remember my Nan's dinning table that she gave us, and you didn't like? That we couldn't sell, and we gave to my sister who has it 20 years later ?  Well that's Identical "

Wife : "Oh....yes.....It would appear to be...do you think your sister would give it back?"

oh how we laughed.
Suppose they want an "arm and leg" for it too. ;)

Plenty of tapping compound, (Rocol or something nice and gooie like that).....

Can you use tapping compound on a die?  ::) ::)
Of course, just brush it on  the unthreaded part of the bolt and do 1/4 turn at a time. Spent most of my working life doing crap like that. :P
When do you turn back to break the swarf?   ::) ;) ;)
I was always taught halfvturn forwards & quarter back :y :y
What ever floats your boat.

Plenty of tapping compound, (Rocol or something nice and gooie like that). The biggest die and stock you can get for the size of thread and some extension tubes. Good luck. :y 300 ss is harder than 400 but is better quality.

The overriding thing to me is that the EU won,t give the UK any form of a reasonable deal, is because their modus operandii is if we don,t vote the way they want they hope we will keep trying until we crawl into line. Sorry if this is (slightly) off topic but that,s how i see it. Let,s get out on Halloween and make our way in the world. Same as we did before Heath and his cronies took us in. Getting totally pissed off with the whole farce. Brian Rix, where are you. :o

Showing your age there Ronny..... ;)

Sure am M,Lord  :'( ;D

Should have been free ::)
A mere pittance. I CBA dealing with the clowns at Vauxhall, I'd rather have it done and dusted in half a day.

I'm beginning to wonder if Uncle STEMO is actually OOF's wealthiest member rather than Lord Opti.  :-\  ::)
£148? I doubt Opti would be bothered bending down to pick that up if it was lying in the street.  ;D

Oh I wouldn't be so sure about that Uncle STEMO.  :-\  ::)

He's a tight old git, which is why he is so rich!  :)
Opti must be loaded if he can afford to let his wife drive that big ,posh ,thirsty Corsa
Doesn,t his SIL drive, er throw and old laptop? :-X

I phoned the windscreen company who told me what has been said here and they will check the sensor when they fit the new screen.  :y
