We used to run it during the night on cheap electricity, but we stopped when it nearly set fire to the house. Almost dead in our beds.
Ah, that could have been nasty!! Thank God you stopped it did not catch fire
I had mine modified by a Hotpoint engineer, and there is now a green dot on it to confirm it has been done. So I cannot get a new one!
I've got used to the smell of burning now and it still works. However, we always keep an eye on it and never use it while we sleep.
I could have been killed, Lizzie. Just imagine the loss to this forum......
