then took my omega 2.6 for MOT , it passed ,no advisories  :)

I've been very busy recently ,so didn't prep the cars as much as i would normally .

I ended up having to give an armful of opposite lock earlier.  It was only one armful, as I was supping a drink with the other arm at the time ;D

Took the RRS & a large trailer over to Cambridgeshire to collect a lot of stone for a barn conversion we're starting ( son in law the builder)
Just amazed how effortlessly the TDV8 tows whatever you hitch up to it.

It was a new experience to change lane, in an overtake manoeuvre, by entering the outer lane rear first (neatly followed by the front), the guy in the van behind was killing himself laughing

Yes, not tried that one before.

I've come off a roundabout backwards before, fortunately hardly anyone around to laugh ;D

Seals for Stat and transfer pipe arrived this afternoon. Fitted the stat and transfer pipe, then had a half hearted attempt at fitting the bastid bolt.
Decided to call it a day and have a proper go at it tomorrow.  ::)

Finally got around to reflashing the rear door modules to get the rear windows functioning again... they've not worked since I first looked at the car.

All good except the drivers side one worked backwards from both switches.

Did some digging and found nothing new wrong with the motor or switches, so had a headscratch and unbolted the motor from the drive assembly and rotated it 180° effectively reversing the poles.

All back together and functioning the right way around again.

Also fitted a replacement passenger door mirror glass which cleared a persistent fault code for a failed heater element.

Now down to just three fault codes... Dynamic Seat pump dead, Night Vision not calibrated and Boot Lid closing incorrect VIN.

Booked in for the trans control module tomorrow so hopefully that'll be the gearbox back to working...

My windows open properly, on demand.

Closing, well, it's a JLR product, so that's less predictable....

Got the Bastid bolt back in, top hose fitted - that did put up a bit of a fight.
Pressure tested the system and when it got to around 0.5 bar coolant pissed out from under the stat.  :'( :'( >:(
Its just had a new seal so god knows why its leaking.  ???
Got to  take it all apart for the third time, try and work out what the problem is, and then do it all again.
Maybe buy a new Stat housing in case this one has warped ?  :-\

Is it possible that the stat housing has a hairline crack in it.  :-\
