Car Parts, bits For Sale & Wanted / Free Omega TD sump gasket

New unused sump gasket for the BMW engined TD. Free.

Daughter just got back from the States, and the lane deviation on the Caddy she hired caused the driver's seat to vibrate! Could appeal to some I imagine, but it frightened her to death the first time. ;D

I hate throwing stuff away. This is a supplement to Audio Manual TS 1523-3. I hope that helps.

Works for me, 240 mpg, drives well, and charged from my solar panels.

And one of them turns out to be an Afghan pilot.

FWIW I recently bought a Kuga plug in hybrid, as my trips nowadays are 90% local, and less than 30 mile round trips. I’ve done about 1k so far, and have used only a quarter tank of fuel, engine is 2.5  petrol. Unfortunately despite supposedly being a more climate friendly vehicle, the road tax is twice as much as the petrol Mondeo, apparently due to its new price having been over £40k. Hardly designed to encourage people to buy hybrids. Serves me right for not checking before I bought it.

I should say I’m getting from 25 -30 on the battery so far, less when it’s colder. I have a home charger as daughter visits in her Tesla.

Neighbour just lost two tyres in one on a main A road near me. I’m told the Council will now only reimburse if the pothole has been previously reported. I was repaid for one a few years ago, after sending pics of hole.

This assortment of luvvies look so concerned as they trot out such emotive language.

Mother with a toddler and a baby.
Elderly grandmother unable to walk.
Heavily pregnant woman with just the clothes on her back.
Diabetic who has not eaten for days.
Person in a wheelchair trying to escape war.........we would all be willing to help such people.

Yet the reality is not like that. When we see who is arriving on our shores, we see mainly young men aged 20-35 of fighting age and in good health.

Hmmm, young men, of fighting age, based in military camps, what should we do with them?

General Discussion Area / Re: caught speeding
« on: 31 January 2023, 07:59:54 »
just had to pay a £100 speeding fine & got 3points on my license, not bothered about the money but the points are the first ever, driving since 1964 so got away with lots but still more narked about the points.  stupid sat nav was displaying a 40mph zone & i was clocked at 38 in a 30mph zone.

Exactly as I was caught a few years ago. Zone limits seem to change a lot these days, and the new car I have just bought has an optional package which reads the speed signs, whereas the base model relies on satnav info, and since that probably doesn’t get updated often, if at all, it becomes a nice money earner.

Any other good news Mark? I’ve seen the one on here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89Zq_015Yrg  at £80 and was hoping to get one that works cheaper.

Right, had a chat to one of my guys who is Ex Ford Brasil.

He pointed me at this;

https://forscan.org/forum/index.php?sid=7b2d5ae121b386ee9d2af7d12dfa05ca

Which is similar to "My Naff Code Reader" but with much more support

As for the water ingress, some areas to check in this list: https://www.google.com/search?q=kuga+water+leaks+site:www.kugaownersclub.co.uk&rlz=1C1GCEB_enGB983GB983&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwje-NrG3-_8AhVUg1wKHfjiALUQrQIoBHoECA0QBQ&biw=1440&bih=740&dpr=1.25

Thanks Mark

I have a Forskin dongle somewhere with a switch I installed to go between hi / low BUS. If it helps you, I can try and dig it out :y

Thanks James, I get the impression that these are ‘badge’ programmed. Will this work on a Ford?

Can anyone recommend one of the above for a Kuga PHEV?
