Check codes, esp for a P0340, which is a failing cam sensor, or P0335 which is a failing crank sensor.

Whilst it should still start without one of these working, it can be troublesome

Check the little transponder chip inside the keyfob is not loose, if it it is superglue it back in position !

I had a similar problem on the old 2.5 ... the chip was loose and moving around inside the fob while the key was in my pocket, sometimes it was in the right place and the engine would start, other times it was obviously not and the engine would not start .. turn over beautifully, but not start .. :(

Caused some consternation to the non-english speaking French garage who also never found the problem .. :)
