Not working as in not backlit or not working as in completely dead?

Quick test, what happens to the displayif you turn the headlights on with the engine running?

Sounds like a CID

Panel is failing, replacement of the LCD panel is the only long term fix

I got one fixed for Essex BigAl  by one of the test engineers at work, but Al sold the car shortly after so couldnt gauge how long it lasted.
