I could definitely go for an iPace, and probably will do once Ms Reeves gets her hooks into the company car schemes and whacks a load more tax on  ::)

I saw a  new one with just 16 miles on the clock. £42995.

List is around £80,000. :-X

Jaguar are buying back nearly 3000 EVs, as they cannot fix over-heating batteries!  ::)
Vauxhall is closing its van-making Luton factory and shifting to Ellesmere Port. Job losses, obviously.  ::)
Northvolt (Swedish company) a main supplier of EV batteries is filing for bankruptcy.  ::)

;D

Finest Chinesium from Wuhu. No really  ;D

Coming soon to a Mobility dealer near you.

Better off spending £25k on anything else. Literally.

Even a five year old Range Rover would be a better bet.

If you're gonna buy a Chinese EV, buy a Monosodium Glutamate, at least they seem to have a dealer network in place.

.
The Daily Mirror were offering one as a prize , had a picture on the front page on Saturday caught my attention as I'd never heard of one or seen one looks very similar to latest Hyundai/Kia  offerings.

Unless we get a sensible government that has the balls to scrap Net Zero, we had better get used to seeing and yes owning and driving round in little Chinese electric boxes.  ::)

Western car manufacturers cannot produce EV's at an affordable price that allows everyone to have one, so they will become scaled back luxury EV manufacturers and cars with what are now everyday badges will become expensive prestige marques. The rest of us will have to make do with a little LuckyChopSuey2 to run around in.  :)

Resistance will be futile as the Climate Change Committee recommends ever more stringent measures to reduce CO2, driving petrol and diesel cars off the road as we approach 2050.  The government, by the way is legally obliged to implement the CCC's recommendations by the Climate Change Act, making them the most powerful body in the land!  :-X

Anyone wonder why Starmer and Lammy have been cosying up to China?  ???  ;)

By 2050 I'll be past caring , if I make it to 2034 I will no longer be driving always said by 80 years of age I'll give up my licence maybe even earlier if I decide I'm past it.

You forget one point. That only works if everyone buys new cars.

And however cheap those Chinesium shit boxes are, keeping a second hand older car on the road will always be cheaper.

Take the Proper car or the Mighty Vectrum... £65pm Vs £500 a month for something with no residual value.

Even if RFL quadruples, you still can't lose. It would obviously suck, but you would still be ahead.

Fuel and insurance are irrelevant as everyone has to pay them, even EVs need 'refueling' and insurance, and the costs are proportional to usage.

You have missed the point completely. They mean to drive ALL petrol and diesel cars off our roads entirely. At some point they will be banned and we will have no choice in the matter.  ::)

Don't underestimate these Net Zero zealots.  :-X
