Car Key Problems
« on: 04 October 2010, 15:49:05 »

HI all again lol,
Some advice please.
Simply my 2.5 V6, 99 Omega (old style) remote locking key fob has given up.
It has always been troublesome and been having to pack the inside with bit of card but now I am down to using the key in the door letting the alarm go off and starting the car quickly, which shuts it up. I would add I think the immobiliser is not working but that is not a real problem.
Can anyone advise where to get a new 2 button keyfob and a electronics engineer who can reprogram the key?
TO ADD UGH! I do not have the little card that is suppose to come with the car that has the chip/imobilizer code.
Thankyou
Marc

You will need the carpass, no matter what.  Don't go to Evans Halshaw though, those robbing buggers want £50 + VAT for one. Shop around other dealers.

Get it repaired - new switches and refitted battery holder - as good as new :y
